West Brom chief executive "shocked" as first League club runs through wage budget
Frank DalleresWest Brom chief executive Mark Jenkins has warned that the club has reached the limit of its wage budget despite recording a pre-tax profit of nearly £40m final season. "I've come back & I'm shocked at what I have found in some of the decisions that have been made," said Jenkins. There is no further money for wages."West Brom face further financial hardship unless they reverse their slide towards relegation from the first League. "The auditors have insisted that I do make note that we are will must have a small overdraft in the near aftertime," Jenkins added.
