Premier League clubs risk fines or even points deductions for failing disabled fansPremier League clubs have been warned for the first time that they could face serious sanctions, including substantial fines, if they fail to keep a promise to provide minimum standards for disabled fans by August 2017.Bill Bush, the Premier League's executive director, appeared on Tuesday before MPs on the culture, media and sport committee following revelations by the Telegraph and the charity Level Playing Field that several clubs – including Liverpool and Chelsea – were now unlikely to honour the pledge.These minimum standards were first drafted 19 years ago but, following pressure by The Telegraph, there was a joint commitment by the clubs last year to finally meet the Accessible Stadia Guide by next summer.
